Coach Adeniyi Samson Olusegun is a seasoned football tactician with a proven track record of success spanning decades. His expertise in nurturing young talent and leading teams to victory has made him a revered figure in Nigerian football.
Starting his illustrious coaching career with Adepoju FC, he led the team to a triumphant victory over Osun State FC in the final of the prestigious Odua Championship at Liberty Stadium, Ibadan in 1997. His ability to inspire teams and deliver results was further showcased when he guided Adepoju FC to clinch the Olu-Aye Champions Cup in the same year.
Coach Adeniyi has consistently demonstrated his leadership in youth football development. Under his mentorship, Adepoju FC (Young Star) secured the NFA U-13 Champions Cup in the 2001/2002 season, an achievement that highlighted his commitment to grooming young footballers. His triumphs continued with Allah’s Will FC, where he won the Adeyemo’s U-16 Cup in 2009 and secured third place at the Lekan Salami Cup in 2012.
Notably, Coach Adeniyi’s influence has shaped the careers of talented players like Kola El-Dovado, Edith Agoye, Seye Ajayi (Beto), who have passed through his tutelage. His success extends across various championships, including the Liberty Champions Cup in 2010, the U-14 Kenny West Golden Champions Cup in 2000, and a commendable third-place finish in the Tanimola U-13 Champions Cup in 2001.
His strategic prowess saw Adepoju FC finishing as runners-up in the Lanihun U-13 Champions Cup in 1999 and YSFON-97 in the same year. Demonstrating remarkable consistency, he led Allah’s Will FC to a fifth-place finish in the I.F.A League in 2007 and repeated this feat in the league table that same year.
Adding to his accolades, Coach Adeniyi guided Allah’s Will FC to a second-place finish in the Olubadan Cup in 2008, followed by securing third place at the Lekan Salami Cup in 2012.
